Tod's of Italy posted revenue of €893.7 million for 2011, a 13.5% rise from the previous year. At constant exchange rates, the increase was 13.6%.
All regions--with the exception of Italy--grew by double digits. Italian revenue was up 5.5%, while 11.2% in the rest of Europe. The company claimed "brilliant results" in Germany, UK and France.
North American revenue increased 17% (or 21.4% at constant exchange rates), while Asia and the rest of the world grew 38.1%. The company noted a slowdown in U.S. wholesale sales as a result of a recent "selective reduction" of vendors, aimed to preserve their brands' images.
The Tod's label saw revenue growth of 19.8%, and Hogan improved the top line 4.7%. Fay saw a 2% decline and the company's smallest line, Roger Vivier, saw explosive growth of 67.9%. (Posted 25 Jan 2012)
